This script plays with gender and time period changes thru act 1 and 2. 

Act 1 is in a British colony in Africa in Victorian time and Act 2 is in London in 1979 but is only set 25 years later for the characters. The show explores the quest for identity as wells as the oppressive nature of violence. 

This production was done on an extremely limited budget most was rented with the exception of a few pieces from mostly Act 1, Betty's dress, the black cravat, mob cap, red kerchief, African print skirt; In Act 2 the pink and purple kid's dress. This was also my first-time styling wigs and I used a few from my personal collection and adapted them because of the limited budget for the show.
